Stop the Terrorists’ Attacks Immediately!
The Israeli attacks on Lebanon is a Dangerous Development in the War between the Two Camps of International Terrorism
In a serious military escalation in the Middle East, the Israeli jets today Thursday, July 13 2006 have bombed the city of Beirut causing death and injury to tens of civilians and the destruction of roads, bridges, and the city major international airport runways. This military escalation was said to be a response to the kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers by the paramilitary militias of Hezbollah in the north of Israel and the rocketing of its towns and residential areas. Israel and Hezbollah are continuing to barbarically target each other’s cities and residential areas.
These dangerous events coincide with the Israeli invasion of Gaza which has caused great destruction and human causalities and suffering, mostly among women and children, as well as with the terrible deterioration of security and the growing vicious sectarian war in Iraq.
The Israeli current escalation against the peoples of Palestine and Lebanon is a result of the USA’s New World Order, and its war on Iraq. It is another battle front in the war raging between the two poles of terrorism: the US state terrorism and its local ally, the state of Israel, on one side, and the forces of Political Islam in the Middle East and North Africa, on the other.
The state of Israel‘s terrorism against the people of Lebanon and Palestine, has nothing to do with its claim of freeing the Israeli kidnapped soldiers. It aims to terrorize the people of the region through its policy of vicious air strikes and creating massive terror for millions of people, a policy frequently used by the infamous Israeli army.
On the other hand, the militias and gangs of Political Islam, supported by Islamic ultra-reactionary regimes of Iran and Saudi Arabia are conducting criminal offences under the claims of Jihad, Islamic resistance, fighting the Jews, and other ideological hypocritical arsenal of Political Islam in order to justify these actions and to re-produce its reactionary movement and tighten its grip on the Islam-trodden societies through terror and the ripping of millions of people there their basic human rights, freedoms and equality.
Our party strongly condemns these Israeli aggressions and demands their immediate halt. We also condemn the military actions of the Islamic militias against civilian targets in Israel. We immediately call to stop this war and seize fire. We stress our political position to solve the Middle East crisis revolving around the Palestinian question, i.e. the urgent necessity of establishing an independent, secular, and non-nationalist Palestinian state with equal rights alongside the state of Israel.
We call upon the people of Lebanon, Palestine, and Israel and all freedom loving, secular and civilized people in the Middle East and the world to stand firm against these terrorist acts by both sides of this conflict. We remind of our position that only the camp of humanity, the Third Camp, can stop this unleashed barbarity and resist these two poles of international terrorism and push them back to the margins of societies.
